Change of leadership at Papierholz Austria
The former managing director of Papierholz Austria (PHA), Mr. Manfred Schachenmann, left the company effective 28th Feb. 2011 after 24 years. Under his leadership, PHA was responsible for the supply of raw materials amounting to 5.5 million solid cubic metres of timber (incl. biomass).
As of March, Mr. Schachenmann has taken on a new challenge with a move to Mondi at the headquarters in Vienna. In future, he will be responsible for seven international Mondi pulp mills as the timber manager. The entire European group has a timber usage of 12 million solid cubic metres yearly.
Effective as of 23rd March 2011, the PHA advisory board has named Mr. Klaus Krammer as the successor to the previous managing director.
As a trained forest manager, Mr. Klaus Krammer has gathered experience in diverse areas of forestry. In 2000 he took employment with PHA. Initially, he was active as a project manager, then he spent three years in the Czech Republic where he was the chairman of at the time newly-founded subsidiary of PHA. In 2003, Mr. Klaus Krammer returned to Austria and, as the PHA deputy managing director, assumed responsibility as area manager for Mondi Frantschach and Zellstoff Pöls as well as for Saw Log Purchasing of PHA.
