PAPIERHOLZ AUSTRIA GmbH is represented in Austria with locations in Frantschach, Gratwein and Pöls. We also operate wood terminals in Amstetten, Fürnitz and Balogunyom/Hungary.

Pulpwood

For the pulp- and paper industry wood is by far the most important raw material.
The industrial roundwood needed stems predominately from domestic forests.

Chips

During saw log manufacture chips are produced. By chemical or thermo-mechanical pulping first fibrous material and then pulp is manufactured. The latter is the basis of paper production.

Saw logs

Most of the wood, felled per year in Austria, are saw logs used to produce high-quality trimmed timber.

Biomass

PAPIERHOLZ AUSTRIA is one of the biggest buyers of biomass for energy recovery in our country.
